'AMCO' lift units is specially designed for the purpose of lifts where silence & smoothness are of most necessary importance.

The Gear Case is made up of high Quality close qrained cast iron conforming to IS 210 of high grade. Its rib design provides maximum surface area for dissipation of heat.

The whole unit's design is based mainly on BS 721 1963 to high accuracy. IS specification are used wherever possible.

The worm is made from high quality hardened steel generated, ground & super finished. The worm wheel is made from centrifugally cast phosphor bronze confirming to BS 1400 PB-2 rim fitted with cast iron centre.

Sleeve bearings are used on worm shaft with angular contact ball bearings being used to take thrust. Sleeve bearings are provided on wheel shaft for maximum load carrying capacity. Oil seals are not provided in Gear Boxes. All gears have limited backlash for lift operation.

Special care is taken for oil circulation so that ample quantity of oil reaches all sleeve bearing for longer life. These high quality units offer maximum economy with minimum maintenance & require only oil checking.

We recommend Enklow 320 Hindustan Petroleum oil. Please note all gear units are supplied without oil. Fill oil before use up to half level in oil indicator in unit off position.

SELECTION :

The size of unit is selected by referring to the rating table using input horse power & output torque for the appropriate and output speeds.

Note:
  • The Horse Power of the motor to be used should be taken as the input horse power to be transmitted.
  • Brake torque should be grater than motor starting torque.

Alternative approximate method of determining size of unit. The unbalance torque = imbalanced load x lift sheave. This torque can then be compared with unbalanced torque ratings given in table.

If this method is used the following information should given.

  1. Brake torque
  2. Motor H.P. & Speed
  3. Maximum load in cage.
  4. Gear Ratio.
  5. Cage Weight
  6. Weight of balance weight
  7. The diameter of the sheave
  8. The speed of the Lift.

Motor Details:

  • Motors are specially designed for lift for smooth starting and silent operation.
  • Motors give high starting torque & low starting current.
  • Ribs are provided for efficient cooling.
  • Rotor is double cage copper bars and dynamically balanced.
  • Sleeve bearing are provided with self circulating oil system with oil seals. Oil recommended is Enklow 320 Hindustan Petroleum.
  • Motors are supplied without oil. Fill oil before use up to half level in indicator in motor off position.
